Meet Coach Jay G.

Head Instructor · Three-Stripe Purple Belt
Trains under third-degree black belt Andrew Gardineer.
Coach Jay began training Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 2019 and brings competitive experience from JJWL, AZBJJL, and IBJJF events to his instruction at MA’OZ Academy.
His teaching emphasizes a strong technical foundation: positional control, effective escapes, sound defense, and the ability to stay composed under pressure. Through clear instruction, purposeful drills, and consistent practice, he helps students understand both how a technique works and when to use it.
